This study aims to verify the moderating effect of ICT literacy on the relationship between attitudes toward aging and depression in middle-aged and older adults. To this end, a survey was conducted on middle-aged and older adults aged 55 or older living in local communities nationwide to secure 500 cases. A moderated regression analysis was performed to verify the research model. As a result of first examining the relationship between attitudes toward aging and depression through regression analysis, it was found that at a statistically significant level, the more positive the attitude toward aging, the lower the level of depression(¥â=-.38, P<.001). In addition, as a result of confirming the moderating effect of ICT literacy, it was found that it had a moderating effect on the relationship between attitude toward aging and depression(¥â=.10, P<.05). In other words, it was found that ICT literacy had a moderating effect of alleviating depression that increased as the attitude toward aging decreased. These results emphasized the need to provide awareness-raising programs and campaigns that can promote positive attitudes toward aging. In addition, as a practical plan to reduce the existing negative attitudes of middle-aged and older adults and alleviate depression, a plan to provide customized ICT literacy promotion education was suggested.
